BR Standard 4MT 4-6-0 75078 and MR 4F 0-6-0 43924 will be handling the services on Bank Holiday Monday. 75078 retires to the confines of Haworth Yard after Monday’s service, leaving 43924 on the Tuesday – Friday weekday service. This week sees the last workings of the year of the Vintage Scenic Bus Tours with the last tour of duty on Sunday 3rd September, coinciding with the last Vintage Train Sunday of 2017, when TVR 0-6-2T no. 85 will have the honours of hauling the vintage coaches for the last trip along the branch this year.
Over the weekend, 75078 will return to action at the head of the steam service on Saturday and alongside 85 on Sunday with the Saturday early morning diesel service in the hands of our Class 101 diesel multiple unit.
