Haworth Haddock & Manorlands Hospice

This weekend sees another of our successful Haworth Haddock evening trains. The train has been in the very capable hands of Mark Moorehead for a number of years but it is now time for him to hand over the reigns to the young team of Tom Ruddock and Charlotte Harrison.

Tom & Charlotte (under Mark’s watchful gaze) were in control of the previous Haworth Haddock on the 18th July and what better way to start their time than by raising well needed funds for the Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice at Oxenhope. The photograph shows Charlotte and Tom handing over a cheque for £1,280 representing the funds raised from the evening. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to a worthy cause very close to the hearts of KWVR staff and members.

But that is not all. The Manorlands Starlight Hike returns on Saturday 26th September, with an exciting new twist for 2015. The Starlight Hike will now feature the ‘Starlight Express’ which will take participants from Oxenhope to Oakworth where their hike starts. If you want to know more, visit the Starlight Hike page on the website.

Don’t Miss ‘The Haworth Haddock’

Why not come and join us for a superb Fish and Chips supper and a drink in the Award winning real ale buffet car. Then dance the evening away to live entertainment on Keighley station.

The next ‘Haddock’ is Saturday, 20th June but that train is proving so popular that all seats are now sold. Spaces are still available for the 18th July but be quick, seats are selling quickly. Hurry to book your seats for a great Saturday night out.
