Our Insurance Advisor (Graham Bentley) has been carrying out this volunteer function for over nine years and is one of the many advisors and officers that work away in the background ensuring that the Railway is fully supported in such matters as all businesses must be.
Graham wishes to retire from this post early next year and therefore the Railway needs a volunteer to take up this important role from mid-2017 onwards. If you have any previous employment or experience in the insurance / under-writing professions, it would be of significant benefit to the Railway if you could consider taking up the post.
Graham will be only too willing to talk through what the role entails. If you can help in this important role please contact Company Secretary, Mike Curtis by email, firstname.lastname@example.org
Carriage and Wagon – Upholsterer
Our long-serving carriage upholstery volunteer will be retiring soon and so we’re looking for someone to follow in his well-trodden footsteps.
Apart from the Pullman cars, KWVR normally does this carriage work in-house, and other small jobs such as booking office and locomotive crews’ seats. There is a dedicated upholstery workshop at Oxenhope with necessary equipment including industrial sewing machine and the materials are available for the required work. Anyone with machining skills would be very welcome and working days are normally Saturdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays – one or more of which might be convenient for any new recruit(s).
For further information please contact Peter Eastham, Director Carriage & Wagon at email@example.com or call him on 07905 382323.
