Locomotive Roster for Weekend 2nd & 3rd April and all next week to Friday 8th April 2016

Steam hauled passenger services continue every day over the Easter school holiday. Stalwart MR 4F 0-6-0 43924 will be at the head of all steam services from Saturday 2nd through to Wednesday 6th April. Diesel railbus M79964 will operate the diesel service on Saturday and Sunday.

The Pink timetable is in operation for the mid-week service with 43924 giving way to TVR O2 Class 0-6-2T no. 85 for Thursday 7th and Friday 8th on its long awaited return to active service at the head of its first timetables service trains since restoration to working order and painting into its magnificent lined TVR livery. We look forward to photographers being out in force and sending in contributions to mark the event.

    • Apologies for not responding earlier, March has been a busy month on the website.
The loco has 2 more years before the boiler certificate expires and repairs will be expensive. Further flu tubes have also been found to have problems. With this in mind the loco department are having the whole boiler examined with a view to extending the boiler ticket for more than 2 years and so make repairs needed more cost effective.
