Spring 2015 in Photos

Spring was a busy time on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway starting with Easter at the beginning of April. We introduced a new, once a month diesel locomotive service and over the Bank Holiday weekend, The Railway Children’s Weekend followed by the Haworth 1940s Weekend. Event organisers continued their hard work with a very successful 3 day visit to the Railway by the famous bear from Peru, Paddington, and our photographic look is back rounded off with West Country Pacific, 34092 ‘Wells’ drawing the crowds at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway’s Steam to West event. And we finish this Spring retrspective with two June videos, including the first Vintage Trains of the Summer.

With Summer well and truly upon us (hot sunshine and rain), it is time to look back and here is a small sample of the photographs of Spring on the Railway. There are more photographs of each event on Flickr, just follow each individual link, or see the whole comprehensive collection of images together on our Spring 2015 Review Flickr feed ⇒

Half-term was not so much about the trains as about a certain bear from Peru with appearances at Keighley and Oxenhope and activities at Ingrow.

We finish this look back at Spring with two videos. Steaming Around Yorkshire were once again in the Worth Valley for footage of the service trains on Sunday, 7th June and Penny Steam was on hand for the first Vintage Train on the very first day of Summer.
