On Train Real Ale Roster, Week 30th March – 3rd April 2015

In response to Customer requests we will be publicising in advance the Real Ales that will be featured in the on-train Buffet Car during the forthcoming weekend.

There is no better way to savour the delights of a real ale, than sitting back as the Worth Valley scenery roles by with steam drifting past the window. Here are 4 guest ales that are coming soon on board the train buffet. Subject to availability, these are:

150328-Abbeydale-ChaucerAbbeydale Brewery – Chaucer

Golden / Blonde
A golden ale with plenty of Bramling Cross shovelled in to the brew, and also a subtle dry hopping with the same hops. Expect a nice level of bitterness.
ABV: 4.1%

150328-Adnams-Southwold-BitterAdnams Brewery – Southwold Bitter

Traditional Bitter
A copper-coloured bitter with a floral hop and caramel malt aroma and a dry citric flavour on a malty backbone..
ABV: 3.7%

150328-Oakham-Bishops-FarewellOakham Ales – Bishop’s Farewell

Golden / Blonde
A strong premium beer of structured quality dominated by elaborate fruity hop notes, with a grainy background and dry finish.
ABV: 4.6%

150328-Oakham-Jeffrey-Hudson-BitterOakham Ales – JHB Bitter

Golden / Blonde
Aroma is dominated by hops that give characteristic citrus notes. Hops and fruit on the palate are balanced by malt and a bitter base. Dry hoppy finish with soft fruit flavours..
ABV: 3.8%
