Fowler 0-6-0 43924 holiday in the West Midlands – Photos

As readers will know the Midland Railway 0-6-0 43924 has this year made its first sojourns away from the Railway since arrival from Barry in September 1968, as the first engine to leave that famous South Wales scrapyard.

Having visited Bombardier in Derby for a private celebration earlier this year, the locomotive left once more to be a star guest at the Severn Valley Railway’s Autumn gala. First reports suggest that the SVR staff were very impressed with our no. 43924, its appearance, condition and performance.

Black & white images hark back to days of BR and non-digital cameras. Here are just a few images from an excellent weekend, but click HERE for more black and white images on our Flickr page.
