With Monday, the 5th May being a Bank Holiday there are 3 days of steam action this coming weekend. There will be a tw0 train service over the weekend with The Railway Children re-enactments at Oakworth and a cameo appearance on Sunday by Chris Witty who played the boy runner ‘Jim’ (the hound in the red jersey) who injured his leg in the tunnel and was rescued and nursed back to good health by the children at ‘Three Chimneys’. It later transpired that Jim was The Old Gentleman’s grandson.
